Joe Perry Forms Support Group for ‘Lead Singer’ Survivors
Duxbury, MA – Joe Perry, Lead Guitarist of Aersomith has formed a support group in Massachusetts for Guitar Players that endure the never ending insanity of life with a Lead Singer.
Joe Perry, an expert in this area, has had a very public and turbulent relationship with singer Steven Tyler for almost 50 years. “I have been diagnosed with PTSD” says Perry. “Dealing with Steven for 50 years was similar to being in a war. I hope to raise awareness, so that someday we may eradicate Lead Singer’s Disease (LSD). Finally If I just save one guitar player from being abused by a narcissistic lead singer, it will all be worth it.”

Other musicians are welcome as well. Bass players, drummers, keyboard players, sax players, and even flugelhorn players are more than welcome. Anyone who has had the misfortune of dealing with a prima donna, diva, pain the arse lead singer.
The purpose of the group is to share our personal experiences and stories. Basically We invite other members to “take what they like and leave the rest”. “We will also have donuts” added Perry. “We want you to know that you are not alone. There are many others who have endured the same heartache and abuse.”
El Kabong
Attendees for the first meeting included Slash, Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, Pete Townshend, Lindsey Buckingham and Tony Iommi. Halfway through the meeting, Axl Rose burst in and started throwing chairs around and screaming “I’m Axl Rose dammit!” At this point Axl was quickly bashed over the head with a guitar by Pete Townshend. El Kabong if you will. El Kabong if you won’t.
The group meets every Tuesday at 8pm in the First Baptist Church on Tremont Street. Members are invited to bring Guitars for an impromptu jam session afterwards along with a pot luck supper.
