Iggy Pop Refused Service at 7-11!
Rock Star Iggy Pop was refused service at a local 7-11 for not wearing a shirt. Iggy, born James Osterberg was the influential singer of The Stooges and is known for his outrageous stage antics. The incident occurred over the weekend at a store in Michigan.
Iggy explained, “I was just trying to get a Slurpee and a SlimJim and this guy stops me and tells me I can’t come in without a shirt.” says Iggy. “What is this shirt thing you speak of” blurted out Pop. “I have no idea what you are saying to me right now.”
McLovin
Iggy then pulled out a Hawaii drivers license with the name McLovin on it. This really angered the manager of the 7-11. “You go now” said store manager Apu Parag. “You are being denied service. No Shoes, No Shirt, No Dice. Put down the Slim Jim and leave the store before I call the owner.”
Iggy Pop has not worn a shirt since 1969 and has never encountered any trouble before, especially in his home state of Michigan. For some reason Iggy only wears a shirt when he goes to the beach. Actually he wears a jacket when he goes to the beach.
Basically Iggy refused to leave and got into a wrestling match with the store manager and the owner. They could not get a good grip on him however because he did not have a shirt on. “He is a slippery guy” said Manager Apu.
When asked for comment, The 7-11 owner Babu Ramalama pointed to the sign that says “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Dice!” and said “Those are the words I live by, I don’t care who you are, and the only stooge I know is Moe, maybe Shemp. I do not know about Iggy Stooge. This guy is crazy, he grabbed Peanut Butter and smeared it all over his chest. I chased him out with a broom. He is banned from my store. Iggy Stooge is a bad man, a very bad man.”
