“I always loved Peter Pan” said Pop, “Once, around 1973, my manager suggested I play Peter Pan. I thought he was insane and fired him the next day. It always stuck in my mind though and when Manuel Lynn “whatshisname” contacted me, I can never remember his name. Miranda Lambert? I know there are 3 names. Lynn Harvey Oswald? Well anyway, whatshisface contacted me and I said sure, but I am not wearing a shirt. We compromised and I only have to wear a shirt half the time. The other half, I wear that weird green costume. I even talked him into letting me do some full frontal nudity. When i fly out over the audience, I am going to be rocking out, with my you know what out. It’s going to be awesome.”

Kristin Chenoweth

In addition to Iggy as Peter Pan, Kristin Chenoweth will star as Wendy, Captain Hook will be played by Nathan Lane and there will be a special appearance by Harvey Fierstein as Tinker Bell. Rockers AC/DC will star as “The Lost Boys” and Rosie O’Donnell will play Tiger Lily.

Lin-Manuel Miranda commented “I know historically Peter Pan was played by a woman, but that doesn’t even make sense and Iggy was my first and only choice. I told my investors, Iggy Pop plays Peter Pan or I walk, and they agreed. They made me promise Iggy will not smear peanut butter on himself though. It is a family show, you know.”

AC/DC

As if Iggy Pop wasn’t amazing enough, The Australian hard rock band, AC/DC will reunite with singer Brian Johnson to co-star as “The Lost Boys”. AC/DC will perform on a few numbers, including a rocking version of ”I Won’t Grow Up”.

The Peter Pan revival will have it’s pre-broadway opening and previews at the Burt Reynold’s dinner theater in Jupiter, Florida. The show will then do a short engagement at the Lawrence Taylor Dinner Theater in East Rutherford, NJ before opening at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater on Broadway.
