Willie Nelson Sneaks Weed Into the White House

On this day in 1977, Legendary pothead, Willie Nelson, smuggled a suitcase of weed into the White House. 

Nelson was invited to the White House for a sleepover by Jimmy Carter, who thanked the country superstar for his campaign support.

Following a dinner in which the president spoke of his days as a male escort and the singer talked of abusing farm animals, Nelson says that Chip Carter knocked on his bedroom door and invited him to the roof to enjoy a fat Austin Torpedo. “At first I was very nervous” said Nelson, “I never heard of a fat Austin Torpedo before, so I thought it was some kind of weird sex thing. I said sorry Chip I ain’t one to judge what a man does in the privacy of his bedroom, but I ain’t into that scene. Chip laughed and pulled out a big fat joint.”

Nelson got his suitcase and the duo went onto the White House roof. Willie and Chip stayed up all night and smoked a pound of weed. “The view up there is pretty damn cool” chuckled Nelson, “We saw UFO’s, martians and Jesus.”
