UK Declares “Fat Bottomed Girls” by Queen is New National Anthem
The UK Parliament has passed a new bill that names “Fat Bottomed Girls” by Queen as the country’s new national anthem. The shocking move was said to be a tribute to the band’s beloved late singer Freddie Mercury.
UK’s controversial Fat Bottomed Girls Bill, described as the “make the rocking world go round bill,” has been adopted in the House of Lords, the upper house of Parliament. The bill was passed in the House of Lords on Wednesday by a vote of 212 to 157.
Fat Bottomed Girls
“Fat Bottomed Girls” is a song off of Queen’s seventh studio album Jazz in 1978. When released as a single with “Bicycle Race”, the song reached number 11 in the UK Singles Chart and number 24 in the Billboard Hot 100 in the US. The Jazz Album went to number 2 on the UK Albums chart.
The bill still needs the approval of Queen Elizabeth to become law. She is expected to approve immediately as she is a big fan of the band and Freddie Mercury. The Queen told Madhouse News, “I love the song. It is very empowering and has a very positive message for the bigger ladies. I believe the song made it possible for artists like Lizzo, Cardi B, Kim Kardashian and Elton John to love themselves as they are. The way god made them.”
They Make The Rocking World Go Round
The song is basically about, well it’s right there in the title. Lyrically, this track is all about the appreciation of women endowed with large derrières. That’s all there is to the lyrics of this song. To the narrator, big women are the epitome of beauty. The chorus echoes, “Fat Bottomed Girls Make The Rocking World Go Round”. This has been confirmed by Science and proven to be a fact.
Some citizens were not happy with the decision. We spoke to Alan Peacock who was protesting outside of the House of Lords. “This is a bloody disgrace. Why change the anthem? It’s been a tradition for almost 300 years. If it was good enough for Mr. Bean then it’s good enough for me. England will now be the butt of the world’s jokes. We will get left behind. I hate Rock n Roll and I hate fat bottoms. My wife Dawn is flat as a board and I like it that way. I can’t tell whether she is coming or going. Well, I have to go to bed now, I have to get up at the crack of Dawn.”
