Trump Blames The WHO for Coronavirus Response: Roger Daltrey Incensed!
Legendary singer Roger Daltrey fires back after President Trump blasted The Who for their response to the Coronavirus pandemic.
“The WHO did give us some pretty bad play calling … with regard to us, they’re taking a lot of heat because they didn’t want the borders closed, they called it wrong. They really called, I would say, every aspect of it wrong,” Trump said at a White House press conference Tuesday.
Roger Daltrey tweeted “Wtf does The Who have to do with the coronavirus? Pete and I have no control over travel restrictions or knowledge about any virus. I did have the clap a few times back in the 70’s but I just got some antibiotics and it cleared right up. I don’t think that works on this new coronavirus. We are a Rock Band not infectious disease experts.
After guitarist Pete Townshend called Daltrey to explain that President Trump was referring to ‘The World Health Organization’ and not the Rock Band ‘The Who’, Roger felt very silly and offered up the one word tweet, “Nevermind”.
