Tommy Lee Breaks Ribs in Backstage Fight with Barry Manilow

In a bizarre turn of events, Tommy Lee was forced to abandon his post as drummer for Motley Crue after just 5 songs. It seems Tommy took a severe beating from Barry Manilow before the show.

It was opening night of the Motley Crue much delayed Stadium tour. The crowd was buzzing with excitement and there were lots of celebs in attendance at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia. Oprah was there, along with Amber Heard, Tyler Perry and reality star Nene Leakes.

The trouble started when Tommy accused Barry Manilow of hitting on Lee’s 4th wife, Brittany Furlan. Manilow politely explained that he was just chatting with her and she is definitely not his type. Tommy then grabbed Manilow and things got out of control.

After the dust settled Lee was on the ground and couldn’t get up. Manilow put quite a hurting on Tommy and he ended up with four broken ribs and a severely bruised ego. He was patched up by the EMT’s but the pain was too much for him to complete the show. Motley Crue pulled a drummer out of the crowd to finish the show.

“Don’t let the old guy fool ya” said Manilow. “I got hands, I may be old but I can throw down. A lot of people don’t know that I am a third degree black belt and my hands are registered with the FBI as lethal weapons. I thought he was joking, Of course I am not interested in his wife. When he manhandled me and wrinkled my leisure suit, I saw red. I went to work on his ribs and didn’t let up until I heard the sound of Rice Krispies. You know, Snap, Crackle and Pop.”

Prior to the tour, there was much talk and concern that chubby singer Vince Neil would not be able to perform, but no one expected Lee to be the one to let down the team. Did anyone bet that Tommy Lee would have to bail on the first show of the tour after getting beat down by Barry Manilow? The Vegas odd must have been astronomical. No word on when Tommy will be well enough to rejoin the band. A source close to Motley Crue stated that the band is going to continue with the replacement drummer for as long as possible.”I like him better” said Vince Neil.
