Teen Mortified as Dad Dresses Like Pirate for Adam Ant Concert

Teenager Taylor Hopley was mortified recently when she witnessed her father Richard dressed as a Pirate to attend a concert by 80s star Adam Ant.

“I could not believe what I was witnessing” said Taylor, 17. “My whole family was on vacation in Europe back in September. My Dad asked me to go to a concert with him. I agreed because he bought me a YSL purse earlier in the day. My mom was tired so she stayed back at the hotel with my younger brother.”

Taylor continued, “I never heard of Adam Ant of course but I figured how bad could it be. For 90 minutes I can endure anything. Well, we get there and my Dad excuses himself to go to the bathroom. When he comes back he is dressed like a pirate. A full pirate with wig, makeup and accessories. Then I look around and I notice almost everyone at the concert is dressed like a gay pirate. I screamed at him Dad why are you dressed like a pirate. What is going on? It is nowhere near Halloween. He then rambled on something about he is not a pirate he is new romantic or something.”

Richard Hopley explained, “Back in the 1980s I was wild. The music was great back then, not like the noise of today. WLIR in New York played all the best music. I loved Adam Ant and the whole New Romantic Post Punk scene. One time I drank an entire six pack of beer. I don’t know how I am still alive, I was so crazy.”

“The night just kept getting worse” said Taylor. “When the music started my Dad and all the other old people started dancing. It was horrifying. There was a song about Stripping or something and Don’t Drink, Don’t Smoke What do you do. The old people were gyrating and singing. I literally vomited in my own mouth. My dad is 58 years old and works as an accountant. This is completely out of character for him. He usually falls asleep on the couch by 9PM.”

“I have never been so embarrassed in my whole life” said Taylor. “Finally the show ended. On the way back to the Hotel, I walked way ahead of my. He was still singing and dancing down the street. He was shouting Stand and Deliver at strangers. People were staring and I was completely mortified.”
