Taylor Swift Joins Tool Onstage at MSG to Perform “Stinkfist”
In a most surprising collaboration, Taylor Swift joined Tool onstage at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The crowd went crazy as Tool singer Maynard James Keenan announced that a special guest would be joining them and Taylor walked out. Swift performed the band’s classic song “Stinkfist” with Keenan and then came back out for an encore of “Prison S*x” and “Maynard’s D*ck”.
In a bizarre turn of events that left fans scratching their heads and others questioning the very fabric of the musical universe, pop sensation Taylor Swift took the stage with the legendary alternative metal band Tool at Madison Square Garden. The result? A performance that had fans both bewildered and amused, as Taylor Swift belted out Tool’s infamous anthem, “Stinkfist.”
Tool is an alternative metal band from Los Angeles. Formed in 1990, the group consists of Maynard, Adam Jones, Danny Carey and Justin Chancellor. Taylor is the Queen of Pop and we think she may have been born in 1990. They could not be more different and we have no idea how this pairing came together. But we know we like it.
Keenan told Madhouse News, “Taylor and I are Besties. I met her a few years ago backstage at a Metallica concert. We got to talking and found out that we have so much in common. Both of us love Beyonce, Chicken Tenders and Grande Caramel Nonfat Lattes. Our favorite movies are The Shape of Water and The Breakfast Club. I was the one who introduced Taylor to Travis Kelce. I am good friends with Jackson Mahomes, we were the matchmakers.”

At this point, we flash back to Madison Square Garden. As the band kicked into the iconic opening riff of “Stinkfist,” Swift unleashed her inner rock goddess. The juxtaposition of Tool’s gritty sound with Swift’s polished pop image created a surreal experience that had fans weeping with joy.
As the final notes of “Stinkfist” reverberated through Madison Square Garden, the crowd erupted into a mix of applause, cheers, hysteria and confused murmurs. Swift, having left her mark on the Tool classic, exited the stage with a wave and a blown kiss. A few minutes later the band returned along with Taylor to perform “Prison Sex” and the surprising hidden song, “Maynard’s D*ck” off of the Salival album. This may well go down as one of the most important moments in Rock history. Hopefully Maynard will return the favor and join Taylor on her tour for a duet on “Shake It Off”.
