Straight Man Accidentally Attends Cher Concert

Brad Wierck, 58, of Wichita Kansas was the first straight man to ever attend a Cher concert! Mr. Wierck found himself in unfamiliar territory when he accidentally wandered into the show while on vacation in Las Vegas.

Cher aka The Goddess of Pop has been making music since the 1960s. The Diva has won Grammy’s, Emmy’s and even an Academy Award. She is the only artist to have a number-one single on a Billboard chart in six consecutive decades, from the 1960s to the 2010s. Cher is beloved by the LGBTQ community and has a huge gay following.

Mr. Wierck and his wife Sheila made a special trip to Las Vegas for their 25th wedding anniversary. “I got a week off from the plant” said Brad, “and it wasn’t easy. This is our busy season.” Brad is a shipping clerk for Vandelay Industries located in Kansas. The company makes marital aids. The couple went all out and splurged for a suite at the Bellagio Hotel.

“We were having the best time” giggled Brad. “My wife and I gambled, we got drunk and stayed up all night and made whoopie. We saw Wayne Newton but the highlight for me was the David Lee Roth and Glenn Danzig Tiger, Music & Magic show. It was magical.”

To summarize, on Sunday night, Brad was napping and Sheila went gambling. “I woke up and went to look for my wife” continued Brad. “I couldn’t find her so I got in line in what I thought was the line for the men’s room. It turns out it was the line into the Cher concert. I figured I might as well stay because I do like Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves. When I was a kid I used to watch the Sonny & Cher show and I thought she was pretty when she showed her belly button.”

I Laughed, I Cried

“Much to my surprise, I laughed, I cried. I felt like Christopher Columbus in a new world filled with glitter, sequins, and ass-less chaps!” giggled Brad. “I loved it and will be surely attending more concerts like this. Bring on Liza and Bette Midler!” Brad Gleefully exclaimed. Sheila then snapped at him “Sit down and shut up you moron, you sound ridiculous. How dare you go to a Cher concert without me. I love Cher too.”
