Sam Smith Dazzles the Oscars Red Carpet in Stunning Rubber Suit
Sam Smith made another dramatic fashion statement on the red carpet at this years Academy Awards. The controversial British singer dazzled in a figure-hugging custom-made rubber suit. The rubber outfit was designed by Goodyear and is completely sustainable. It was made by using 27 recycled tires.
Goodyear designer Lars Bulson commented, “This is my take on celebrating Smith’s natural form and the beauty of being one’s self. I wanted to create an image which people have never seen Sam in. My inspiration was the gimp from Pulp Fiction and of course the Goodyear blimp which I also designed.”

The internet exploded the moment Smith made his grand entrance onto the red carpet. Heads were turning and tongues were wagging. The reviews were of course mixed as some loved it and some hated it. One young fan, Caprice Stevenson was so moved that he fainted. Stevenson passed out face down in police horse feces. After he was revived he giggled, “This is the greatest moment of my life.”
Hosts on all of the Red Carpet coverage shows gasped. Laverne Cox of the E network commented, “This is the most important event in our country’s history. At least since Bjork wore a live swan around her neck. Smith is a trend setter, a true original and a genius. I believe a statue should be built in his honor somewhere.”
Bring Out The Gimp
Onlooker Gary Tuttle was interviewed on site and stated, “WTF Am I looking at? It looks like New Year’s Eve at the nuthouse here. I came down here just to see someone get slapped. Not witness a live freak show. I think I saw the Goodyear Blimp and the Gimp from Pulp Fiction. Did you get a look at the red carpet, it’s not red this year it’s like an off white color. The Academy is making brilliant advances. Hey is that Will Smith over there?”
