Ron Wood Mistakes Bear Cub For Puppy, Gets Attacked By Mama Bear

Rolling Stones Guitarist Ron Wood picked up what he thought was a puppy, but it turned out to be a bear cub. Unfortunately, not far away was an angry Mama Bear. Apparently she was not happy with her cub being manhandled by a skinny Brit. 

Look a Puppy

Ron Wood was out for a walk in the woods with his wife Sally, when he spotted what he thought was a cute little puppy. Ron, against the wishes of his wife, picked up the puppy and started posing for photos. It was at this point when the Mama Bear attacked. 

“Me and the misses were out for a little stroll” recalled Wood, “when I spotted this cute little puppy. I picked it up to show Sally and snapped a few photos. After I saw Sally’s eyes widen and she shouted RUN! I dropped the puppy, I mean bear cub and we took off running. We never ran so fast in our lives. I felt the bear bite me on me bum, but luckily she stopped chasing after half a mile.”

Wood was unhurt, just a bruised bum, and he and Sally had a good laugh afterwards. It is a good thing that Ronnie is in such good shape for a man of his age. It is said he runs 17 miles per day, so outrunning a bear is nothing for him. 

“Ronnie is always getting into mischief”, said Sally Humphreys. “Every time we go for a walk it is a new adventure. Just last week, he got sprayed by a skunk because he thought it was a cat. Last summer, he reached into a bee hive for some honey and got stung 100 times. He was swollen for weeks. However the worst was when he got quilled by a porcupine. I spent hours pulling those quills out of him. He is like having another child.”
