Roger Waters to Fight David Gilmour During Super Bowl Halftime Show

This fight has been years in the making. We all knew it was going to happen and now it finally will. Pink Floyd band members Roger Waters and David Gilmour will fight each other during this year’s Super Bowl Halftime show.

Pink Floyd was founded by Waters in 1965. Gilmour joined the band in 1967. They achieved incredible success selling 250 million albums. “Dark Side of The Moon” “Animals” “Wish You Were Here” and “The Wall” are classic albums. Due to growing hatred of each other Waters left the band in 1985. Gilmour carried on using the name Pink Floyd and Waters sued. They did manage a reunion in 2005 but most of the years since, were spent fighting, in court and criticizing each other in the press and social media.

Roger Waters vs. David Gilmour

The Floyd hit the fan this week when David Gilmour’s wife Polly Samson lashed out at Waters on social media. Samson called Waters every name in the book, criticized his hygiene, questioned his sanity and his bladder control. Gilmour fueled the fire even more by replying that every word was true. Waters retaliated by confronting Gilmour at the Grammys. Waters slapped Gilmour and yelled, “Control your woman. Tell your wife to keep my name out her mouth.”

At this point the pair was separated by security. Management and publicists wasted no time and decided to make the best of the situation and cash in on it was well. All agreed and the fight was scheduled for halftime during the Super Bowl. It will be a 3 round boxing match. Each round will last 3 minutes. Each man will get $500 for the fight with the winner getting a cool $1 Million dollars USD. Plus the winner will get all rights to the name Pink Floyd and the bands song catalog.

Waters commented, “I am going to beat his arse and make his wife hold my coat while I do it. This is going to be sweet, I cannot wait to beat David like he stole something. And he did steal something, my band. Once I win this and send Gilmour to hospital, I will immediately go out on tour with Pink Floyd and take his wife with me.”

Gilmour replied, “I am going to bust his head open to the white meat. Waters does not stand a chance. I will beat him like I’m his Daddy, which I probably am. His mum did get around quite a bit. I shagged her many times. She wasn’t half bad at that either.”

Fans are excited for the boxing match and are evenly divided in the Waters and Gilmour camps. The Vegas odds makers have Waters as the favorite at 5:1. Vegas shot callers are also giving even money that both men drop dead of a heart attack in the first round.
