Rod Stewart to Fight Conor McGregor at UFC 246
Conor McGregor had many opponents to choose from for his long-awaited UFC return, but ultimately chose to lock horns with singer Rod Stewart at UFC 246 in Las Vegas.
Conor made the decision after he heard about Rod Stewart’s recent battery arrest in Florida. Stewart immediately accepted.
Rod allegedly beat up 7 security guards at a Palm Beach nightclub after they refused his family entrance to a private event.
After they were denied entrance, Stewart starting throwing punches and karate kicks. Rod kicked the spleen out of one security guard and broke the ribs of another. Witnesses described the melee as some crazy “Chuck Norris sh*t.” The security guards are all still in the hospital with cuts, scrapes, broken bones and concussions.
McGregor’s return to fighting is the highlight of the UFC year. Now that Rod Stewart will be his opponent, it is sure to be the event of the season. Tickets have already sold out. Stewart will also perform a few songs in between rounds.
