Robert Plant & Snoop Dogg Collaborate on New Country Rap Album
Legendary Rapper Snoop Dogg and Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant are teaming up to record a new Country Rap Album. The OG meets The Golden God.
The success of the Billy Ray Cyrus and Lil Nas Country Rap mashup put the idea into motion. Old Town Road was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Country, Rap, and R&B charts for 2 years. It sold over 100 billion albums and ushered in the phenomena of Country Rap. As PT Barnum once said, “Man, people are really stupid.”
Call The Doctor
The project is being produced by, and was the brain child of, Dr. Dre. “If Lil Nas & Billy Ray Cyrus managed to have that much success, imagine how much success two actual musicians with talent could have.” Laughed Dre. “This is gonna blow up. This is going to be off the charts. Well, actually I hope it is on the charts. #1 on the charts to be exact. I have even enlisted the help of Rick Rubin.”
Guitarist Jimmy Page is going to appear on the album, as well as fellow Led Zep alum, John Paul Jones. Other special guests include: Willie Nelson, Jason Aldean, Miley Cyrus, DJ Khaled, Dolly Parton and Zac Brown.
Robert Plant told Madhouse News, “I am psyched for this new project. Snoop is the best. This is going to be groundbreaking. We are adding touches of Jazz, Rock, Gospel and even some Classical Music. That’s it! That is going to be the next big thing. Hey Snoop our next album is going to be a Classical Music/Rap mash up. You will be rapping over Beethoven!”
Fo Shnizzle
Snoop replied, “Fo shnizzle, wizzle. This album will contain new versions of the Led Zeppelin classics, “Stairway to Heaven”,“Hot Dog” and “Hey, Hey What Can I Do”. There will also be new songs and maybe even a few surprise covers. I think we should do I’ve Been Everywhere Man By Johnny Cash.”
