Rob Halford & Phil Anselmo Star in New Breaking Bad Reboot

Heavy Metal superstars Rob Halford and Phil Anselmo have signed on to star in a reboot of the classic TV show Breaking Bad. Halford, the lead singer of Judas Priest will play Walter White and Anselmo, the singer of Pantera will portray Jessie Pinkman. The show will air this summer on Paramount+. And yes of course the theme song will be the Judas Priest song “Breaking The Law”.

Breaking Bad

The original Breaking Bad follows Walter White (Bryan Cranston), an underpaid, overqualified, high-school chemistry teacher who is struggling with a recent diagnosis of stage-three lung cancer. White turns to a life of crime and partners with a former student, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), to produce and distribute methamphetamine to secure his family’s financial future before he dies, while navigating the dangers of the criminal underworld. The show aired on AMC from January 20, 2008, to September 29, 2013.

The new Breaking Bad reboot will follow the main plot of the original but Walter White will now be a gay bakery owner who is also the lead singer of a Heavy Metal band on the weekends. Mr. White hires Jesse to work in the bakery. Coincidentally Jesse is also the lead singer of a Heavy Metal band who enjoys meth. They decide to sell meth out of the bakery for fun and money.

Hilarity ensues as White and Pinkman hook up with a bumbling cartel led by Danny Trejo. In episode 1, one of the cartel boys played by George Lopez, gets his foot stuck in a bucket while mopping the bakery. He ends up knocking an entire batch of meth into a birthday cake for the Mayor’s 10 year old son. The cake gets delivered by mistake and as you can imagine, the party goers run amok.

Rob Halford

Rob Halford has been the iconic lead singer of metal gods Judas Priest for many years and this is not his first acting role. He recently appeared on Yellowstone as a mysterious preacher. “I am excited for this role” said Halford. “It was my idea to make Walter a baker instead of a High School chemistry teacher. After all, baking is science and it is my passion. I can bake the sh*t out of anything. Maybe after this I will enter the great big British baking show.”

Phil Anselmo

Phil Anselmo is the lead singer of Pantera. They are known for the songs “Cowboys from Hell” and “Message in Blood”. “I love the interaction between Mr. White and Jesse” said Anselmo. “It is very similar to the way Rob treats me. He is like an older brother/father figure who thinks I am a complete idiot. He kids me all the time and calls me a cretinous, inbred, trailer dweller. I can’t argue with him. Where’s the lie? I love that guy.”
