‘Angry Guy’ Reviews: Rick Springfield – Texas State Fair – Dallas, Texas – September 27, 2019

I just got my assignment for the week. I am going to Texas, to the State Fair, to cover Rick Springfield! Yes that’s right Dr. Noah Drake.

The Texas State Fair is a huge event. It lasts for 6 months and is the 4th largest city in the United States. There are pigs, hogs, cows and Heifers, and those are just the people on line for the fried Oreos.

I get to the fair early and I eat my way to the stage. “Cajun Crab Bombs”. Sounds like something I got in that New Orleans Whorehouse in ’84. “PB&J Bacon Pickle Dog”, “Fried Rat Penis”, “Pig in a Cannoli” – sounds like my first girlfriend in Brooklyn. I am stuffed.

After a 2 hour break at the “Port-a-Potty”, I am ready for some good music. Unfortunately, all I got is Rick Springfield. I figure it will be like a 5 minute concert, because the guy only has 1 song.

Well, I am wrong, I am stuck there for what seems like hours, listening to chubby, bedazzled, Texas housewives squeal to songs I have never heard. Springfield was smart though and played “Jessie’s Girl” three times.

His hair looked good though. Ok, 3 deep fried monkey brains in an ice cream cone, to go, please.
