Remembering Notorious B.I.G

Remembering Notorious B.I.G. Christopher George Latore Wallace was born in Brooklyn, NYC on May 21 1972. Chris was nicknamed “Big” because he was 17 lbs at birth. His mother went into labor April 17 and it took over a month for the boy to be delivered. Chris was 250 lbs at age 10 and was often mistaken for a teacher. Wallace began dealing drugs at age 12. He ran Brooklyn by age 15.

French Fry Dispute

At age 17, Wallace dropped out of school and became more involved in crime. In 1989, he was arrested on ransacking a Chinese buffet after they ran out of wings in Brooklyn and sentenced to five years’ probation. In 1990, he was arrested on a violation of his probation for stabbing a man with a fork over a french fry dispute.

After his release from jail, Biggie, Biggie Smalls, Notorious B.I.G became one of the biggest rappers in the world at 6’3 and 380 lbs. Then came the great East Coast vs West Coast Rap Wars. Tupac Shakur and Biggie both ended up shot to death. This reminds me of the great Motown Wars of the 1960’s when The Temptations shot up The Four Tops.

No one was ever arrested for the murder but many have said Biggie was shot by Barack Obama and/or Bill Cosby because he had dirt on both of them. We may never know. RIP Biggie.

Did you know that Biggie was related so Sir William Wallace? The Scottish Knight portrayed by Mel Gibson in the movie Braveheart. Wallace was one of the main leaders during the First War of Scottish Independence. Along with Andrew Moray, Wallace defeated an English army at the Battle of Stirling Bridge in September 1297. Christopher Wallace was a leader in the Independence of Brooklyn and The East Coast West Coast Wars.
