Redskins Unveil New Name and Logo: Washington Red Formans
Just one day after the Redskins announced they were retiring their nickname and logo, the team debuted a brand new name and logo.
The Washington Redskins will now be known as ‘The Washington Red Formans’. The new name is an homage to a TV character from owner Dan Snyder’s favorite show, ‘That 70’s Show’.
“I love Red Forman and ‘That 70’s Show’”, said Snyder. “He was one of the best sitcom Dad’s of all time. A lifelong blue collar guy and war veteran, he is constantly calling everyone a dumbass. That sums up this whole situation perfectly. I originally thought of calling the team The Washington Dumbasses, but my lawyers determined that name is already trademarked by Congress.”
Coach Ron Rivera stated “I love the new name and logo. And I have decided that our new team motto is ‘A Foot in Every A$$’. Red Forman didn’t take any crap and neither will I.” Rivera then yelled at his players “You morons just hung vacancy signs on your a$$es, and my foot’s looking for a room!”
An unnamed source told Madhouse Sports, “Hopefully the new name will change the team’s tradition of losing. This is a terrible team and needs a foot in the a$$.”
Donald Trump tweeted “Forget the name, this franchise has been an embarrassment to D.C, and that is saying a lot. This is the same city that re-elected Marion Barry after he was caught on camera with hookers and crack.”
