Photos of Barack Obama Lighting Farts Backstage at Foghat Concert 1981

Michelle Obama has released shocking photos of her husband Barack Obama from 1981. The photos show a 20 year old Barack Obama backstage at a ‘Foghat’ concert lighting his own farts. Michelle released the photos on her Instagram because she thought they were ‘adorable’. Michelle labeled the photos ‘Mr. President, LOL!’

The event took place October 16, 1981 at the International Amphitheater in Chicago. Barack, a huge fan of the rock group ‘Foghat’, snuck backstage after the concert and ended up hanging out with the band. 

Original ‘Foghat’ lead vocalist, ”Lonesome” Dave Peverett remembers the night very well: “I recall the night like it was yesterday” said Lonesome Dave. “Barry was a funny guy. We were smoking a lot. He broke out some ‘Maui Waui’ that he said his Dad mailed to him from Hawaii. Anyway, he says to us, hey guys check this out and he lights his farts. It was like a blow torch. I never laughed so hard in my life. He burned the eyebrows off our drummer, Roger Earl.”

Obama commented on the photos saying “I love ‘Foghat’, they played at my wedding and my inauguration. Yes I remember that night. I was on fire, literally. I almost burnt the Amphitheater down. I was baked man. I lit up some wicked ‘Blue Angels’, that’s what I call my fart fires. I was percolating on all cylinders that night. Foghat rules!”
