In a shocking upset, Paul McCartney won the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating contest.

The contest was held at a secret location in Coney Island, NY and there were no spectators due to social distancing.

The heavy favorite to win, was 13 time champion Joey Chestnut. Chestnut was -1112 favorite vs. the field as per BetMGM. However, due to a contestant being scratched due to explosive diarrhea, McCartney was a last minute fill in.

McCartney, who is a vegan, said, “There is probably not that much meat in a hot dog anyway. I was honored to be invited. I was taking a walk and some guy yells to me, hey you, do you want to be in a hot dog eating contest. So I said sure. I am game for most things.”

107 Hot Dogs in 10 Minutes

Not only did McCartney win, but he set a new world record, eating an incredible 107 hot dogs in 10 minutes. Joey Chestnut was the previous record holder when he ate an astounding 74 hot dogs in 10 minutes to set the men’s record in 2018.

Joey Chestnut is said to be devastated and in seclusion. “Damn Paul McCartney has everything, he couldn’t let me have this!?” said a weeping Chestnut.

McCartney commented “I was just having a laugh. I didn’t know these people take this so seriously. I just started eating and I got into a zone. They went down like peanuts. I am probably going to be sorry tomorrow.”
