NJ Governor Names State “Glory Hole” After Bon Jovi!
NJ Governor Phil Murphy announced that he was honoring his good buddy Jon Bon Jovi, by naming a state run “Glory Hole” after him.
Bon Jovi and Murphy are longtime neighbors in Middletown, and the Governor’s wife Tammy Murphy referred to the Jersey-bred musician as “probably our best friend.”
She thanked Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea for all the work they’ve done over their years to support the Murphys’ think tank and her husband’s campaign.
“Each time I call Jon, I say Can you just help us one more time?” Tammy Murphy told the crowd Sunday at the news conference. “Jon very kindly says, Yeah, OK, I’ll do it.”
“I said to Jon, There’s no way we could ever repay you,” she continued. “However, we think honoring you with your own glory hole is a start”.
A “Glory Hole” bearing your name is one of the ultimate signs of achievement in the Garden State. The Bon Jovi Glory Hole is located in the mens room of a Trenton nightspot called “The Cock Pit”.
“I am very honored” said Jon Bon Jovi, “this is the ultimate honor, this is bigger than the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, and much more deserved. I can’t wait to try it out”.
