The gals are back. HBO has a new reboot of Sex And The City on the way. Only this time the lead characters will be played by male rock stars. Music fans and SATC fans are abuzz with excitement. Evidently Dave Grohl, Dee Snider, Sebastian Bach and Ed Sheeran have all signed on to play the four lead characters.

Sex and The City is a romantic comedy drama that aired on HBO from 1998-2004. Set in New York City, the series followed the lives of four yentas. Three in their mid-thirties and one in her forties—who, despite their different natures and ever-changing sex lives, remain inseparable and confide in each other. It starred Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon. There have been movies, remakes, trading cards and even action figures in an attempt to cash in.

In another attempt to cash in, producers have now decided male rock stars are the way to go. The show will now feature Dee Snider as Carrie Bradshaw the narrator and main protagonist. Snider will portray Carrie as a hulking freak that clomps around New York City in high heels and too much makeup. It is not much of a stretch as Snider actually is a hulking freak that clomps around New York City in too much makeup with his band Twisted Sister.

Former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach will play the part of Samantha. Yes, that is the name of his former band but was also where he lived during his lean years. Samantha is a gin soaked, bloated, std infested woman in her 50’s. Bach was born to play the part. Coincidentally Bach and Sarah Jessica Parker appeared in CATS together on Broadway. He then worked as her chauffeur after Nirvana came along.

Speaking of Nirvana, Dave Grohl will star as Charlotte York. Charlotte was voted homecoming queen, prom queen, “most popular”, student body president, and track team captain, in addition to being an active cheerleader and teen model. Life has beaten her down and broken her spirit. She now cats around the city looking for a man while drinking alone in the dark.

And last but most definitely least, Ed Sheeran will play Miranda Hobbes. Miranda is the career minded lawyer with cynical views on everything. She is hte leat liked and most annoying character on the show. Producers were asked why they selected Ed Sheeran for this part. Their reply was, we needed a red head of course and Dave Mustaine turned us down.
