Mikkey Dee & Lemmy’s Moles Reunite For Motorhead Tour
Motorhead drummer Mikkey Dee is reuniting with Lemmy’s moles for a full fledged Motorhead reunion tour and album. Former guitarist Phil Campbell will also be returning.
Lemmy Kilmister, lead singer and bassist for the influential band Motorhead, passed away in 2015, but his spirit and his moles live on. Besides being an incredible musician, Lemmy was known for his wild lifestyle, muttonchops and his enormous moles.
Claude and Manny
The moles, ‘Claude’ and ‘Manny’ have been living in seclusion in Montreux, Switzerland since Lemmy’s death. “We have been drying out” said Manny. “It was time” said Claude. “Lemmy would have wanted us to carry on. We recorded an album a few years back but the tour got cancelled. This reunion tour with Mikkey Dee is a great tribute to Lemmy, the man who taught us everything we know. He always spoke highly of Mikkey and Phil so I am sure he is smiling down or up on us now and giving us his blessing.”
Former Motorhead guitarist Phil Campbell will also participate in the reunion tour. A surprise addition to the tour will be Aaron Neville’s mole, ‘Stedman’. Stedman plays percussion and sings. “I am excited AF about this new project” says Stedman. “I loved Aaron but we bumped heads a lot, we did not get along musically, we had very different tastes. It is time for me to show my heavy side, I am ready to rock and kick some a$$.”
Motorhead Reunion
The tour kicks off with a very special show at the Rainbow Bar in West Hollywood and continues throughout the spring and summer. “I am psyched that we are playing some shows with Motley Crue” said Claude. “We had a lot of fun with those guys back in the day. They were a bunch of lightweights. Me and Manny drank them under the table on many a night.”
Motorhead fans had mixed reviews on the news. Daniel Nordback tweeted, “WTF, There is no Motorhead without Lemmy. Claude and Manny suck a$$, this stinks of a money grab. I will not be attending this alleged reunion concert. Those 2 moles should be lanced and fed to a rat.”
Mikkey Dee told Madhouse News, “Look, Phil and I have gotten many offers over the years for a reunion. But without Lemmy it wouldn’t sound the same unless we had the right guys. The right guys are Manny and Claude. They are spot on. Reserve judgement until you hear them. They are incredible.”
