Mariah Carey Song Shatters Woman’s Glasses Scratching Her Cornea
A woman from Portland, Oregon claims that while listening to a Mariah Carey song, the high notes caused her eye glasses to shatter thus scratching her cornea. Shockingly, she has hired an attorney and has filed a lawsuit.
Mariah Carey Scratches Cornea
Brenda Mann alleges that she was going about her business and enjoying her day while listening to music. The song “Emotions” by Mariah Carey came on and when it got to the sick high pitch part of the song, her eye glasses literally shattered. Glass went everywhere scratching her cornea and detaching her retina.
Mann is suing Mariah Carey, Sony Music, Tommy Mottola, Nick Cannon, Derek Jeter and even the estate of Thomas Edison. Edison invented the record player which led to Mariah Carey releasing this song which caused harm to Miss Mann.
Mann stated, “It’s not about the money. I just want to make sure that no one else has to suffer like I am. Although I sure am looking forward to some money. I think I have PTSD. Right before the incident, my dog started howling. I guess she could hear notes I could not and tried to warn me. Then it sounded like a car bomb and I felt a sharp, excruciating pain in my eye. Glass was everywhere and my eye was dangling from a string. I popped it back in but the damage was already done. I think about $1.7 Million should cover it, after taxes of course.”
Mann alleges that she is so shaken by the incident that she no longer can listen to music and is too sick to even eat. All I could choke down today was a box of donuts and a big gulp of Mountain Dew. In addition to the $1.7 million, Brenda wants all Mariah Carey music to be completely banned. At the very least all of her music should come with a warning label and eye protection. “It’s not safe at any volume” cried Brenda.
