Lindsey Buckingham Turns Stevie Nicks Barbie Into Voodoo Doll on Live TV
Legendary Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham recently turned a Stevie Nicks Barbie doll into a voodoo doll right before our very eyes – all on live television. Buckingham was a guest on the Today show with Hoda Kotb when he pulled out the brand new yet to be released doll and starting jamming pins into it. At first Hoda was horrified but quickly started laughing and joined in on the fun.
Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks have a long troubled past. The duo were a couple and also bandmates in Fleetwood Mac. As their romance was ending, they played it out on the stage and in recordings. Each wrote a song condemning the other and made them perform it nightly. Add on excessive coke usage and you had a recipe for disaster. You also have the makings for one of the most successful albums ever recorded.

They had an on again off again working relationship ever since. Nicks once went on a 10 minute profanity laced rant about Lindsey, which culminated in the ripping of Buckingham’s photo. Nicks called Buckingham a no talent eunuch. “Lindsey was a true artist” said Nicks. “He had Van Gogh’s ear for music.” Nicks continued, “Lindsey may look like an idiot and talk like an idiot, but don’t let that fool you, he really is an idiot.”
In another incident, Nicks was a guest on the today show when Buckingham heckled her from the audience. Nicks went berserk at this point and flipped a table over as she ran towards Buckingham, with Al Rokers’ umbrella in hand. Shocked and terrified, Buckingham ran for the exit, but was run down and tackled by Nicks. Nicks took the umbrella and rammed it up Buckinghams rectum. Nicks then opened the umbrella. Surprisingly they continued to work together following this incident. However, The final straw was when Nicks fired Buckingham from Fleetwood Mac.
It all started innocent enough. As the interview began, Buckingham casually pulled out a Stevie Nicks Barbie doll, complete with a miniature tambourine and shawl. The doll, clad in its best “Rhiannon” outfit. “I happened to get my hands on a presale Stevie Nicks Barbie doll” grinned Buckingham.
At this point Lindsey looked the audience dead in the eyes, and with a mischievous glint, he started sticking pins into the voodoo doll. Each pin coincided with a famous Fleetwood Mac song, and as he angrily inserted them, the corresponding part of the Stevie Nicks Barbie would twitch, as if possessed by some ethereal force.

“Rhiannon!” he exclaimed as he stuck a pin, and the doll’s tambourine started shaking. “Go Your Own Way!” he shouted, and the doll’s legs danced a little jig. The crowd was in stitches as Buckingham continued, “Landslide!” and the doll toppled gently to the side. It was like watching a rock ‘n’ roll puppet show from the underworld. “Take that you witch, fire me from the band will you.”
When Reached for comment, Stevie Nicks screamed, “That SOB, I was in excruciating pain all day, I had sharp burning pains all over. I thought it might have been another bad batch of gas station sushi. Wait until I get my hands on Lindsey, I am going to stick a hot branding iron up in him this time.”
