In an unexpected twist that has left fans bewildered, Lindsey Buckingham has announced he’s reforming Fleetwood Mac. But hold onto your tambourines, folks—he’s doing it without Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, or John McVie. That’s right, Buckingham’s new Fleetwood Mac is set to be a one-man show, proving once and for all that you don’t need a band to be a band.

At a press conference held at a Taco Stand in Los Angeles, Buckingham stood proudly beside a solitary microphone. “I have always been the most important member of Fleetwood Mac. I write the songs, I play the guitar, I arrange the music. What – you think Stevie is Fleetwood Mac. She can’t even play the tambourine, we used to turn the volume down on her so we didn’t have to listen to her off beat banging.”

Lindsey continued, “You think that big goon Mick Fleetwood is important. He’s a drummer for crying out loud. What do you call someone that hangs around with musicians? A drummer. How he tricked the band into using his name I will never know. And that sad sack Mcvie, his wife made him play bass on a song about her cheating. I am the heart and soul of this band, I don’t need those other clowns and I never did.”

Buckingham explained his vision: “Imagine all the iconic songs, but with a fresh, modern twist. I’ll play the guitar, the drums, the bass, and yes, even sing. It’s a one-man Fleetwood Mac extravaganza! You have seen those one man bands before. The bass drum will be strapped to my back, i will have my guitar, harmonica and everything else I need strapped to me. For the horns and drum parts I will use my feet. Wait until you see what body part I use to play the keyboard.”

“For years I was in the background while Stevie stole the limelight. Well, it is now my time to shine. No one knows that Stevie can’t even sing. That is all me, I have a 12 octave voice and I sing like an angel. Her mic was shut off as well and I did all the singing.”

The new Fleetwood Mac tour is set to kick off this summer and will feature only Lindsey Buckingham. “Who knows, I may incorporate avatars, Artificial Intelligence, mirrors, puppets, pyrotechnics and circus animals. It is going to be epic, FU Stevie.”
