Krist Novoselic Officially Changes Name To “That Other Guy From Nirvana”

Krist Novoselic, the long suffering bass player from the band Nirvana, has officially changed his name to “That Other Guy From Nirvana”. Novoselic was a founding member and bass player for Nirvana for the entire duration of the band. However, he was overshadowed by the other two members of the band, Kurt Cobain and Dave Grohl.

To make matters worse he has an unpronounceable name. Is it Chris? Novocaine? What the heck is his name? In a recent interview Dave Grohl could not remember his name. When asked about a Nirvana reunion, Grohl commented, “I have been in touch with the bass player from Nirvana. I can’t remember that dude’s name but he is the really tall guy. You know, Chris something or other. Well, anyway, he is down for reforming Nirvana with Axl Rose as singer.” Novoselic is the Rodney Dangerfield of Rock n Roll, he gets no respect.

“I was sick of everyone calling me that other guy from Nirvana” said Novoselic. “So I decided to make it official and change my name. Being the bass player in a band is hard enough but when you are in a band with a genius like Kurt Cobain you are completely over looked. That is understandable and I could deal with that, but then the drummer over shadows me. That is a little hard to take. A guy that beats on things for a living ends up becoming like the biggest rock star on the plant. Who the heck even knew Grohl could sing, play the guitar and write songs, WTF. He wasn’t even an original member of the band.”

Nirvana was formed in Aberdeen, Washington, in 1987. Founded by Novoselic and lead singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain. The band went through a succession of drummers before recruiting Dave Grohl in 1990. Nirvana spearheaded Grunge music and became the voice of a generation. They are one of the best selling and most influential bands of all time.

“To make matters worse, Kurt’s wife Courtney Love overshadowed me” continued Novoselic. “Even his daughter France Bean and that weird guy Pat Smears who played with us for like 5 minutes is better known than I am. Life has been hard for me. I am a big awkward guy and I have an insanely hard name to pronounce. I was in the biggest most important band on the planet and no one knows my name. To make matters worse, Grohl is playing stadiums and I am busking ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ in the subway, Never mind.”
