K-Pop Singer “Jungkook” To Star As Bruce Springsteen in New Biopic
K-Pop sensation Jungkook from BTS is trading in his mic for a guitar strap as he gears up to play none other than the legendary Bruce Springsteen in an upcoming biopic. If that doesn’t make you want to dance in the dark, I don’t know what will!
Bruce Fans reactions were mixed. Initially Some thought it was odd that a Korean pop singer would be playing the New Jersey native Springsteen. Others thought it was a breath of fresh air. “Who says Bruce Springsteen has to be American?” said K-Pop fan Nate Fontana. “Where is it written that The Boss cannot be played by an Asian? It’s called acting.”
Bruce Springsteen Biopic
As has been noted Jungkook was born Jeon Jung-kook in South Korea. He rose to prominence as a member and vocalist of the South Korean boy band BTS. Evidently BTS is the biggest band in the phenomena known as K-Pop or Korean Pop. BTS stands for Backside Toucher Society.
Basically to prepare for the role, Jungkook has reportedly been immersing himself in all things Springsteen. He moved to Asbury Park, NJ and is soaking up the blue collar, muscle car life. Rumor has it that he’s even started perfecting his New Jersey accent by streaming Sopranos episodes. At this point Jungkook impresses us with the lingo he has picked up. “Chrome wheeled, fuel injected, and steppin’ out over the line. I got a sixty-nine Chevy with a 396 Fuelie heads and a Hurst on the floor She’s waiting tonight down in the parking lot Outside the Seven-Eleven store.”
Jungkook then asked why fans believe a man worth about 500 million dollars can be considered one of the little people. “I thought blue collar people worked hard for low wages? Bruce sings stupid songs like me and gets lots of money. Americans are stupid.”
When asked for comment, Bruce replied by slanting his eyes with his fingers and singing, “We’d go down to the Liver And into the Liver we’d dive Oh, down to the Liver we’d ride.” The Boss then burst into maniacal laughter and giggled, “I kid, I think it’s great. Hey I heard Shrek is going to be playing Steven Van Zandt in the movie.”
