Justin Timberlake to Star as Sammy Davis Jr. in New Biopic

Pop star Justin Timberlake will star as Sammy Davis Jr in a new film based on the legendary entertainer’s life. The biopic will be directed by Spike Lee and will document Sammy’s life, loves and star power. The movie will also feature the little known fact that Sammy’s glass eye had special super powers. 

Lee told Madhouse entertainment reporter John Pyne, “To tell the story behind one of the greatest entertainers of all time, I knew we needed an actor that’s up to the part. Justin is a triple threat as an actor, singer, and dancer. He can do it all man.”

Sammy Davis Eyes

Lee continued, “About the eye thing, everyone knows Sammy had a glass eye. He lost it in a car accident. But very few people know that his glass eye had magical powers. He got it from some voodoo priestess down in New Orleans. Sammy could see into people’s souls with that eye and he could read your mind. He solved and prevented many crimes.”

Timberlake commented, “I love Sammy, who doesn’t love Sammy. He could do it all man. To prepare for the role, I bought Sammy’s glass eye. I bought it at auction for $1.7 million. My agent talked me out of poking my actual eye out but I really wanted to. Instead, I had special glasses made so that I can walk around and look through Sammy’s glass eye, it is amazing. Forest Whitaker has been giving me special wonky eye lessons.”

Janet Jackson

Janet Jackson will star as Sammy’s wife Altovise. Other stars signed on include Ryan Seacrest as Frank Sinatra, John Turturro as Dean Martin, Ed Sheeran as Peter Lawford and Pete Davidson as Joey Bishop. Special Guest Scarlett Johansson will star as Angie Dickinson and Timberlake’s real wife Jessica Biel will play Sammy’s wife May Britt.
