Jussie Smollett To Play Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in New Biopic

Disgraced actor Jussie Smollett is set to star as controversial singer, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. Smollett will play the TLC singer in a new biopic to air on Disney.

Lisa Lopes was a member of the R&B girl group TLC, alongside Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas. Besides rapping and singing backing vocals on TLC recordings, Lopes was one of the creative forces behind the group, receiving more co-writing credits than the other members. She also designed the outfits and staging for the group and contributed to the group’s image, album titles, artworks, and music videos. She was also the roadie, choreographer, manager, accountant and security.

Club Med

Smollett of course, was arrested and convicted of lying about being assaulted. He was sentenced to jail but then was asked to leave because he was having too much fun in there. According to jail officials, Smollett was treating the jail as if it was a club med. It was alleged that he was having nightly dance parties and hot tub shenanigans.

The new biopic will detail Lopes childhood, rise to fame with TLC and subsequent controversies. Lopes life became headline news in 1994, when she was arrested for setting fire to boyfriend, Andre Rison’s underpants. Unfortunately, he was wearing them at the time. The fire ultimately spread to the mansion they shared and destroyed it. She claimed that Rison had come home smelling like ho’s and wide open ass so she set fire to his underpants to get back at him. Burning down the house was an accident.

Fits The Suit

Jussie was selected for the role because he is a big fan of TLC and he could fit into her outfits. He also bankrolled the production. “I love Left Eye” said Jussie. “She is a bad a$$ bitch. Anyone that burns someone’s house down is OK with me.”

The Left Eye biopic will air later this year. It will also star Beyonce as Lopes Mother and Kevin Hart as the Father. Smollett will do all of his own singing and dancing. “We are in the same vocal range now. Ever since the attack, I am singing soprano. I never told anyone this, but they took one of my balls man. My nickname is Jussie ‘Left Ball’ Smollett, so I can relate.”
