Joey Chestnut Breaks Record For Largest Turd After Eating 62 Hot Dogs

Competitive eating phenom Joey Chestnut captured his 15th title on July 4th at the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest. Interestingly, Chestnut also broke another record a few hours later in the bathroom when he created the largest turd ever recorded. Chestnut created a 27 foot turd which broke the previous record of 26 feet set back in 1995.

The Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest is an annual Independence Day tradition that takes place in Coney Island, New York. Chestnut, aka The wiener warrior downed 62 hot dogs and buns before millions of boisterous fans.

Sixty-two hot dogs is nothing to sneeze at but it was well below the record 76 frankfurters that Chestnut, of Indiana, ate last year. It was however, more than enough to beat out the number 2 guy who downed a measly 37.5 hot dogs and buns, What a loser.

The victory was not without drama though as Chestnut was interrupted by protesters about halfway through the 10-minute disgusting display of gluttony and excess. The protestors carried signs that said, “Hot Dog Lives Matter”. One of the men pushed Chestnut aside in the heat of his Herculean digestion effort. The champ responded by grabbing the man around the neck and trying to eat him. Chestnut quickly returned to eating as authorities tasered the marbles of the protesters and dragged them off the stage.

“I was in the zone” said Chestnut. “Everything looks like a hot dog to me. You remember those old cartoons when 2 guys were on a desert island and the one guy looks at the skinny guy and envisions he is a hot dog. Well, that is what it is like for me. That guy is lucky security got to him before I swallowed him whole. I was on a record pace, that jacka$$ messed with my momentum and rhythm.”

Approximately 6 hours later, Chestnut broke another record. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Joey broke the record for the longest turd ever recorded. Incredibly, Chestnut pinched a loaf of 27 feet. The previous record of 26 feet was set by a Michigan woman in 1995. “I was in another zone” said Chestnut. “The key is to stay loose and never break the chain. You need a continuous turd to break the record. I broke the toilet and every pipe in the house, but a plumber was able to capture the feat on a special snake camera. 62 hot dogs is cool, but a 27 foot turd is amazing. My parents are so proud.”
