Earlier this year Jack Black and Jack White announced they were collaborating as Jack Gray. Well today they dropped their first single, a smoking rendition of “Ebony & Ivory”. “Ebony & Ivory” of course is the 1982 hit song featuring a duet by Paul McCartney & Stevie Wonder.

The project was originally going to include Jack Black’s “Tenacious D” partner, but White hated that guy. What is that guy’s name anyway? “He was a real jerk” said White “He was always picking his toenails in my studio and once I caught him using my toothbrush.”

Once White forced the other guy out, the duo decided to call themselves “Jack Mehoff” instead of “Jack Gray”.  “Jack Mehoff” released their first single, a cover of the classic Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney duet, “Ebony & Ivory”. The song will be featured in Kung Fu Panda 27. Black also released a version of the Britney Spears classic, “Hit Me Baby One More Time”.

The video for the song includes Jack Black singing as Stevie Wonder, complete with afro wig, sunglasses and black face. Jack Black said “yeah what could go wrong? people are going to love it, kids today especially have a great sense of humor, and who doesn’t love black face?”

Paul McCartney & Stevie Wonder make cameos in the video. McCartney pranks Stevie in the video by handing him a cheese grater instead of the telephone when it starts ringing. Stevie answers the grater and shreds his face as hilarity ensues.

Reviews of the new song were overwhelmingly positive. Jack Black is the love-able funny fat guy with high cholesterol and clogged arteries that the world loves to laugh at. Women posted on social media that Jack Black is the kind of man they want. However, when fat guys with beards tried to joke with them they were immediately blocked.
