Ernest Giuseppe Anastasio III was born September 30, 1964 in Fort Worth, Texas but moved to Princeton, New Jersey when he was 3. Wait, Trey is from NJ!? Did you Phish heads know that!? How long did you think you could keep that from me?

His father, Ernest Anastasio Jr., was an executive vice president at Dewey, Cheatem & Howe. His mother, Vern, was a children’s book author and editor of Mommy Drinks Because of You Magazine. He grew up with his sister Ernestine.

Phish

Phish is noted for their musical improvisation and painfully long jams that are totally devoid of melody. The band is often referred to as The Grateful Dead minus the good songs. Despite that, they are beloved by drugged up dirty hippies. A Phish concert was once cancelled due to a bubonic plague outbreak.

Wook: A dirty, smelly, sketchy creature whose dreadlocked hair resembles poop (and in some cases is poop). They may or may not resemble and sound like Chewbacca, but they will definitely be less reliable. “The floor was so packed, a shirtless wook rubbed up against me and now I need to pour bleach all over my body.”

Spunion: A person who not only takes too many drugs, but whose appearance, speech, and/or actions lets everyone else know that they’ve taken too many drugs. “We should change seats; the Spunion next to me told me Trey impregnated him with his guitar and he’s about to go into labor, and I have no interest in discovering what that means.”

On December 15, 2006, Anastasio was arrested for drugs and DWI in NY State. He was sentenced to community service and drug rehab. Since becoming sober, Trey has stated “You know, Phish music kinda sucks. It used to sound so much better to me.” Phish has an incredible net worth of $200 Million. $199 Million of that belongs to Trey. The rest belongs to the other guys. Cheers Trey.
