Happy Birthday Stevie Nicks

Stephanie Lynn Nicks was born May 26, 1948 in Phoenix, Arizona. Stevie started singing as a small child, her Grandfather was a famous country singer, Hop Along Nicks. During a father daughter talent night in school, Stevie wet her pants while performing “King Of The Road” with her father Jess. She was 17 at the time. She was known as “Pee Pee Nicks” for years after that.

Nicks met her future musical and romantic partner, Lindsey Buckingham during her senior year of High School. Lindsey was performing ‘Puff The Magic Dragon’, Stevie fell in love instantly. When Nicks and Buckingham got the call to join Fleetwood Mac, they were down to their last few dollars. The duo was reduced to eating cat food, not because they were poor, they just enjoyed it. Nicks was working as a waitress to support them. At their first rehearsal with Fleetwood Mac, they each received $7 from the band to help them get by.

Stevie Nicks

Stevie Nicks is known for her distinctive voice, mystical stage persona and poetic, symbolic lyrics. Collectively, her work both as a member of Fleetwood Mac and as a solo artist has produced over forty top 50 hits and sold over 140 million records, making her one of the best-selling music acts of all time with Fleetwood Mac.

Apparently, Stevie has slept with every Rock Star she came across. The list includes, Don Henley, Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie,  John McVie, Meatloaf, Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Mike Douglass, Merv Griffin, Clark Gable, Abbott & Costello and many others. However, the love of her life was Joe Walsh. They were both serious drug addicts and were forced to break up because Stevie would not share her drugs.

Gas Station Sushi

Stevie apparently loves gas station sushi, and ended up getting so sick that she had to cancel the last Fleetwood Mac tour. Driving through Pennsylvania, Stevie went inside the ‘Gas N Gulp’ for some snacks and decided on the spicy shrimp roll and eel roll. Stevie was a bit concerned that the date on the sushi had expired, but was reassured by the clerk Raymond Doherty that the sushi is the best in Pennsylvania. Nicks wolfed down the sushi and washed it all down with a 2 liter Mountain Dew. Stevie started feeling sick immediately after and began projectile vomiting. “Stevie had her head out the window for the last 50 miles of the drive” said Mick Fleetwood. “I thought she was going to vomit up her socks at one point.”

Feud

Fleetwood Mac eventually erupted and the relationships all went to hell.  Things turned violent in the Nicks/Buckingham feud, when Lindsey Buckingham heckled Nicks during her segment on “The Today Show” on NBC. During Nicks’ interview with Roker, Buckingham began yelling “Baba Booey”. Nicks dismissed the interruption and continued the interview. After a few more outbursts by Buckingham, the last straw occurred when Buckingham pretended to cough as he shouted out “Coke Whore” and “Prostitution Whore”.  Nicks went berserk at this point and flipped a table over as she ran towards Buckingham, with Rokers’ umbrella in hand. Shocked and terrified, Buckingham ran for the exit, but was run down and tackled by Nicks. Nicks took the umbrella and rammed it up Buckinghams rectum. Nicks then opened the umbrella.
