Happy Birthday Pink

Alicia Beth Moore was born September 8, 1979, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Doylestown is of course, the home of the little league world series. Her mother was actress Roz Kelly who played Pinky Tuscadero on Happy Days. That is how PINK got her nickname. It is also rumored that Henry Winkler aka The Fonz is her biological father.

Pink was trained as a competitive gymnast between the ages 4 and 12, As a teenager, she wrote lyrics as an outlet for her feelings, and her mother commented, “Her initial writings were always very introspective. Some of it was very black, and very deep, almost worrisome. I made her see a psychiatrist after reading her lyrics.”

Good Choice

Pink began singing in clubs in Philly and went on to join an all girl pop group called ‘Choice’. During a Christmas party, L.A Reid gave Pink an ultimatum: go solo or go home. Pink disbanded ‘Choice’ the next day.

Her first album ‘Take Me Home’ was successful, but ‘Missundaztood’ put Pink over the top. ‘Get The Party Started’ sold 75 billion copies. Pink has sold over 100 million records worldwide, making her one of the world’s best selling artists.

PETA vs PITA

Pink is an animal-rights activist and a prominent campaigner for PETA. She was involved in the raid on KFC. An elite team of PETA commandos swarmed the KFC main chicken camp and liberated the chickens. Unfortunately chickens do not know how to survive in the wild and were eaten by predators immediately. Pink commented, “At least they weren’t eaten by people!”

Pink is married to professional big wheeler, Carey Hart. They met in 2001 and separated and rekindled every week until they finally married in Costa Rica on January 7, 2006. They have 2 kids with typical celebrity names, Willow Sage and Jameson Moon. Pink has an astounding net worth of $220 Million.
