Happy Birthday Lenny Kravitz

Leonard Albert Kravitz was born May 26, 1964 in Manhattan, New York City, the only child of actress Roxie Roker and NBC television news producer Sy Kravitz. Sy was also a Jazz Promoter and knew everyone. Duke Ellington used to babysit Lenny. Miles Davis performed at Lenny’s 8th birthday party. His Uncle is weatherman Al Roker.

Lenny was a young actor and appeared in many commercials. He appeared in the Mr. Microphone commercial, where he uttered the classic line “Hey Good Looking, be back to pick you up later”. Lenny’s best known commercial where for Wendy’s where he would yell “Where’s The Beef?”.

Lenny Kravitz is the embodiment of cool. One of the last rock stars, Lenny mixes Rock n Roll with Soul, Funk, Jazz, R&B, Reggae, Psychedelia and Pop. Lenny understands that Rock Stars should look like Rock Stars and he wears it well. Dreads, Leather, Tattoos and Feather Boas, Lenny is the full package. Kravitz is a singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer, who sings and plays all of the instruments on most of his recordings.

Did you know Lenny does not wear underpants. In fact he doesn’t even own any. You will not find one pair of underpants in Lenny’s house. He is against them. Lenny feels they are restrictive and for the sake of simplicity, he does not wear them. “I’m Lazy and I am usually in a rush. I don’t have time to put on underpants”.

Lenny is involved currently involved in a lawsuit with Fredrik Reinfeldt, who claims he was injured during a Lenny Kravitz concert in August, and wants compensation. Mr. Reinfeldt is suing for $7.5 Million claiming that he was hit by a ‘Fly Away’ pubic hair from Mr. Kravitz. The pubic hair struck Mr. Reinfeldt directly in the eye, scratching his cornea. Mr. Reinfeldt was forced to wear an eye patch and has lost 50% of the vision in his left eye. Besides the emotional trauma, I have double vision, claims Mr. Reinfeldt, and I demand compensation. I have the pubic hair to prove it!
