Happy Birthday Graham Nash

Graham ‘Cracker’ Nash was born Feb 2, 1942 in London, England during the Blitzkrieg of WWII. Graham recalls falling asleep to the sounds of German Bombs in the distance while clutching his Winston Churchill doll.

Post War England was a dark gray place but young Graham found joy in music. The man sings like an angel, and we first heard of Nash with the band The Hollies. Who could forget his beautiful tenor voice singing those swinging sixties British Invasion hits “Carrie Ann” and “Bus Stop”.

1968

In 1968, Graham was dating Mama Cass and loving life in sunny California. Graham decided to leave The Hollies to form CSN with ‘C’ and ’S’. Graham Nash was the ’N’. Later on ‘Y’ joined the band.

CSN& (sometimes Y) enjoyed huge success. They won the world over when they made their first appearance at a small festival in Upstate NY in 1969 known as Woodstock. Graham went onto to be a spokesperson for the NRA, Donald Trump and Nuclear Energy.

Nash was the voice of a generation and he was the glue that kept these other maniacs in the band together. It was a turbulent and fragile relationship. Eventually it was too much for even Graham, as Crosby is a big PITA. Who knows, hopefully the boys will get it together and reunite again. In the meantime you can catch Graham solo.

Feces

During a recent concert, Nash threw feces at the crowd, attacked them physically and severely injured 3 members of the audience. Cheers Mate.
