Happy Birthday Chris Stapleton
Christopher Alvin Stapleton was born April 15, 1978 in Blacklung, Kentucky to Herbert and Jean Stapleton. His dad was a coal miner and his mom was an actress who played Edith Bunker on ‘All in The Family’.
Chris came from a long line of coal miners and he was even born with black lungs. He was destined to become a coal miner so he moved to Nashville and vowed to become a musician and songwriter.
Stapleton became the go to songwriter, writing every good country song. Every country artist lined up outside Stapleton’s Nashville house in the hopes to get to record one of his songs. Every morning Stapleton would open up at 8AM and by Noon he would be sold out of songs. At his peak he was writing 100 songs per day.
Tired of the grind and knowing he can sing his songs with more feeling and soul than Carrie Underwood and David Hasselhoff, Chris started recording his songs.
Stapleton’s debut solo album, ‘Traveller’, was released on May 5, 2015. Chris was the biggest thing to hit country music since Buck Owens. Grammy’s, CMA’s, critical and commercial success followed and Chris was an International Superstar.
Happy Birthday to an incredibly talented singer/songwriter and musician!
