Fan Devastated to Learn Slash’s Real Name is Saul

A Guns N’ Roses fan was devastated recently upon learning that his idol Slash’s real name is Saul. Just like Cher, Sting, and Madonna, Slash was known the world over by just one name. Most rock fans knew that Slash’s mother did not name him Slash. That he in fact did have an actual name and Slash was just a nickname. Well, one fan, Michael Willemin was today years old when he found out and was devastated by the news.

That’s right, the guitar legend known only as Slash actually has a birth name and it is Saul Hudson. As a matter of fact, The enigmatic guitar god known to all as Slash, the man with the iconic top hat and the wild curly hair, is Saul from England. Basically, this news sent shockwaves through the rock community that rivals any riff ever played on a Les Paul.

Willemin was hanging out at a bar in downtown Nashville, Tennessee when “Welcome to the Jungle” came on the jukebox. He was flailing around the bar playing air guitar and telling anyone that will listen, “That’s my Jam. Slash is the greatest guitarist ever.” Another patron, Don Pfeiffer agreed with him and said, “Rock on dude, Saul is the best.”

Willemin confronted Pfeiffer and asked why he keeps saying the name Saul. Pfeiffer then explained that Slash was just his nickname and that his real name is Saul Hudson. Willemin scoffed and continued making devil horns and air guitar windmills. The next morning Willemin told his wife of the unusual interaction and she laughed at him. “How could you not know that his name is Saul Hudson? Guns N’ Roses is your favorite band.”

Devastated

Willemin then researched Slash and found out that his name was indeed Saul Hudson. “I am devastated. He is my favorite guitarist and he looks like a Slash. He does not look like a Saul. My accountant is named Saul. Also did you know that Saul was not even born in the USA. He was born in England and he is half black. I am gutted, I feel my whole life has been a lie. What should I do about my Slash tattoo, should I scratch it out and replace it with Saul? My pet snake is named Slash as well. Saul the snake ain’t going to cut it.”

At this point The devastated man continued, “Well I can take solace that some of my other favorite rock stars sill have cool names. There will always be Axl, Ozzy, Iggy and the rest.” His wife just rolled her eyes and said she did not have the heart to break it to him. “He is too fragile now but if he pisses me off, I will tell him about the others.”
