Elon Musk Buys ‘RUSH’ and Names Himself Drummer
Billionaire Elon Musk has purchased the Canadian rock band ‘RUSH’ for $50 Million and has named himself as the band’s new drummer.
“I love Rush” said Musk. “They are my favorite band. When I was growing up, I listened to nothing but Rush. Geddy, Alex, Neil, come on man they are the best. When ‘Moving Pictures’ was released, I was 10 years old. I remember it like it was yesterday. I saved my allowance and was first on line to buy it.”
Good Deal
Musk who recently made an offer to buy Twitter for $43 Billion stated that he bought the band as a side investment while waiting on Twitter’s answer. “It was a really good deal” said Elon. “I got the band’s entire song catalog and I actually own Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson. I could make them my butler if I want. But I just want to hang out with them and jam.”
Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson commented, “WTF, I didn’t realize our publisher could actually sell our song catalog let alone me and Geddy! Wait a minute, he is going to be the drummer? Does he even know how to play the drums?” Singer/bassist Geddy Lee added, “We are pleased with the news of Elon Musk’s deal and happy that our publishing will be handled by an African American with worldwide expertise.”
“I may not be able to play drums” said Musk “But I am a bad a$$ air drummer. I once drove my car off the road into a ditch because I was air drumming so hard to Tom Sawyer. So I am a quick learner and I am hiring the best drummers in the world to train me. I will practice 12 hours per day until I am as good as Neil Peart. Then we will take band on tour and record new music. I am pretty sure I can write some awesome songs. We might even tour Uranus.”
