Dolly Parton To Record Album With Heavy Metal Band Slipknot

Country superstar, legend and International treasure Dolly Parton has announced that she is currently in the studio with Heavy Metal band Slipknot. They are writing and recording songs together that will appear on Slipknots new album due out later this year.

“We recorded new metal versions of my songs, ‘Jolene’ and ‘9 to 5’” said Dolly. “Then we recorded new versions of the Slipknot songs ‘Wait and Bleed’ and ‘Pulse Of The Maggots’. They are such nice boys and I had so much fun recording and writing with them. They are very talented, I just love them, they are my new favorite band.”

Rock n Roll Hall of Fame

Dolly is a bada$$ who once demanded the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame remove her name from the nominees list. Parton tweeted that although she was “extremely flattered and grateful to be nominated … I don’t feel that I have earned that right. Also, I really do not want votes to be split because of me, so I must respectfully bow out. I do hope that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will understand and be willing to consider me again — if I’m ever worthy,” she continued. “This has, however, inspired me to put out a hopefully great rock ’n’ roll album at some point in the future, which I have always wanted to do!” That Dolly Parton rock album was released to great accolades.

The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame rejected her request saying, “If we removed everyone that didn’t belong, we would have been out of business a long time ago. There are only so many Beatles and Stones. We make a lot of money by allowing ABBA and Tupac in. It’s all about the green.”

Parton replied back saying, “The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame is trash. They better keep my name out their mouth before I start stomping mud holes in some hineys. Does that fat little toad Jann Wenner still run this? I never liked him. Take my name off or take the name Rock n Roll off of the Hall of Fame and call it the music hall of fame, or maybe the money hall of fame.”

Dolly and Slipknot also wrote a new song called “F*ck The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame”. They plan on releasing a second album this year of all new original songs. The album is tentatively titled, Dolly & Slipknot. They plan on touring as well. “Maybe then I will agree to being in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame” said Dolly.
