Country Legends Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn released a countrified version of Cardi B’s WAP a few years back. The song is now #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.  Loretta has since passed away and Dolly has replaced Betty White as the world’s most beloved treasure.

WAP is the controversial, XXX rated, #1 song by Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion. The song has sparked conversations about sexual empowerment and has also caused many to vomit while listening. Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion rap unashamedly about sex on the explicit track. A divide has formed as to whether the sexually explicit song is a good or bad contribution to pop culture today.

Dolly Parton WAP

Since this is a family magazine, we must tread lightly and cannot print the song lyrics or we may lose our license. However, we can tell you that “WAP” stands for “Wet A$$ Pu$$y”. The song consists of Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion going into graphic detail describing their lady parts.

Parton, 74 and Lynn, 88 at the time, decided to cover the song to express their sexuality and show that women of their age can be freaky as well. “It was very empowering” said Lynn. “Just because I am 88 years old doesn’t mean that I can’t have a WAP too.”

Parton commented “It was very empowering. I am not above enjoying when a man swipes his nose like a credit card. Just because there is snow on the roof, doesn’t mean the fire is out in the furnace!”

My Hip

While filming the video, Lynn broke her hip and Parton wrenched her back. They were trying to emulate the dance moves of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion. The duo completed the video while convalescing from a hospital bed. Country music fans have expressed outrage that their beloved idols would cover such a song. Lisa Guerra of Nutbush, Arkansas tweeted, “I am beside myself that these two country music icons would degrade themselves with such trash. The other day, my 92 year old mother and 5 year old daughter were singing the song in the car, I was so shocked, I drove off into a ditch.”
