Dixie Chicks Change Name to Chixie Dicks

Dixie Chicks are changing their name. The trio will go forward as Chixie Dicks. The band revealed the change with the branding for its new song “March April May”. The “Dicks” have also amended the cover of their comeback album “GasPasser” to reflect the new name. In addition, the band’s social media pages and websites now refer to the trio as the “Dicks”.

A spokesperson for the band stated “Hey we saw how much attention Lady Antebellum received when they changed their name so we felt we should capitalize as well. We get a lot of press for literally doing nothing and it takes attention away from how bad our music really is. This is literally the least we could do. People feel we are helping and sympathetic and yet we don’t have to do a thing. It is awesome.”

Singer Natalie Maines commented “Other names we were thinking about included, ‘Chicks with Dicks’, ‘Cheesy Dicks’, ‘Chicky Dicky’ and ‘Tinky Winky’. However, We felt ‘Chixie Dicks’ captured the true essence of the band.”

It is also rumored that the band will add a fourth member. “We would love to have a trans person of color, singing optional.” said band member, Emily Strayer. “The new member can just stand there and play the tambourine, as long as they fit the suit, if you know what I mean?”
