Def Leppard Drummer Rick Allen’s Arm Grows Back
In what can only be described as a miracle, Rick Allen, the drummer for Def Leppard announced today that his arm grew back. Allen lost the arm in a car accident in 1984.
In December 1984, the then-21-year-old musician lost his left arm after a near-fatal accident in England. Allen was speeding and lost control of his Corvette when he frantically tried to turn the radio off when the Bon Jovi song “Runaway” came on. “I hate Bon Jovi” said Allen. “It was a tragedy what happened to me but it is still better than listening to Bon Jovi.”

Allen made an amazing recovery and was able to return to the drums using a specially designed electronic drum kit. Rick has been named the best one armed drummer of all time by ‘Yes Drummers Are Musicians’ Magazine.
Allen told Madhouse News, “It is a miracle. I have prayed everyday and I tried everything. Finally I found a mystery elixir in the back of Madhouse Magazine. It was next to the Sea Monkey ads and ads for X-Ray Spex. The ad said it is designed to make other things grow if you know what I mean, but I figured hey why not give it a try. So I rubbed it on and then I drank the rest. The next morning I woke up and unbelievably my arm grew back.”
Miracle
Allen continued, “Thank you Madhouse Magazine, I am so happy but now I am going to have to relearn how to play the drums with two arms.” Def Leppard fan and editor of ‘Yes Drummers Are Musicians’, Erik Fraunfelter told Madhouse News, “He’s a great one armed drummer but he is only mediocre as a two armed drummer. If I was him, I would hack the arm back off.”
As one of the world’s best-selling music artists, Def Leppard have sold more than 100 million records worldwide. They have two albums certified diamond: Pyromania and Hysteria. This makes them one of only five rock bands with two albums selling more than 10 million copies in the US. The other bands are Hanson, Justin Bieber, The Wiggles and Nickelback.
