Darlene Love Chops Down Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree
Don’t mess with Darlene Love! One day after voicing her displeasure with Brad Lachman Productions for snubbing her, Love took the feud to a whole new level.
“Once again I was snubbed by Brad Lachman Productions who produce the Rockefeller Christmas Tree lighting ceremony and instead they book another artist to perform my song ‘Christmas Baby, Please Come Home’ each year,” Love, 78, said on Facebook. “Such an insult and let down! That Brad Lachman is the son of a jackal, with all the honor of a Weasel”
Love did not take the insult lying down and proceeded to chop down the giant Rockefeller Christmas tree in NYC. Love is actually a trained logger and spent her teen years logging in Washington State.
“I couldnt’ believe what I was seeing” said witness Rick Farkas. “I saw this beautiful lady whacking the Christmas tree with an axe and then she pulls out her chain saw and within a minute the whole tree comes toppling down on a bunch of Japanese tourists. It was pretty awesome.”
Love then tracked down Brad Lachman and circumcised him with the chainsaw. “Ha maybe Brad can sing the song next year” laughed Love. “He can def hit those high notes now.
