Chris Robinson: I Divorced Kate Hudson for Listening to John Mayer Music

Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson finally revealed the real reason he and Kate Hudson got divorced. During an interview on the Monsters of Rock morning radio show with DJ Claudia Stavola, Robinson dropped the bomb. “She likes John Mayer music” weeped Robinson.

Robinson and Kate Hudson were married in 2000 after a volatile and whirlwind romance. They met at a party in New York City in December 2000, and they moved in together hours later. Hudson was only 21 at the time, and Robinson was 34. They got married in Colorado on Dec. 31, 2000, just seven days after they met.

The couple divorced in 2007 amidst rumors of infidelity. The press fueled the fire by reporting that Kate was having an affair with actor Owen Wilson. Is he the blonde Wilson with the jacked up nose or the other one?

Now usually when John Mayer’s name is thrown about as the cause of a divorce it is because he is banging the wife. He is known as quite the ladies man and has dated virtually everyone in Hollywood. However, that is not the case in the Robinson Hudson divorce.

Robinson spilled the beans and told exactly what happened. “In the beginning it was great” said Chris. “Then she starts leaving the bathroom door open. Kate was like a bear on the toilet. There were sounds and smells coming out of there that were not human. Then she washed my pants with my weed in the pocket. The little annoying things were adding up.”

Chris explained the final straw came one afternoon when he came home early. “I walked in and I heard some horrible sounds coming from the music room. As I went to investigate, I see and hear Kate is listening to John Mayer. It is on purpose and she is singing along and crying. That horrible your body is a wonderland song. She knows I hate that corporate shill stale ham sandwich of a man. I knew it was over, I could never look at her the same again. I packed up my stuff, walked out and never looked back.
