I don't often use the word "Fabulous", but that is really the only word to describe Cher and tonight's concert at The Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

Everything about Cher is "Fabulous". For almost 60 years, she has conquered all aspects of the entertainment industry. Cher paved the way for all others in a male dominated industry. She is an icon, ageless and timeless. Cher is the only singer who can claim a #1 hit in 6 different decades!

After a nice set by Disco legends Chic and Nile Rodgers, Cher appeared wearing a giant Orange wig and headdress. Dancers graced the stage in full gladiator gear. It looked like a scene out of Game of Thrones. It was a sight to behold.

It was a Grandiose night of Glam, Glitter, Sparkles and Sequins. 90 minutes, 9 costume changes, 6 decades and 1 million memories.

Cher opened the show with the empowering "Woman's World", before reappearing atop a Mechanical Elephant for “Gayatri Mantra".
In a very touching moment, we watched a video montage featuring Sonny Bono and their life, love and career together. Cher showed up wearing her signature 1960's bangs, bell bottoms and fur vest as she performed a virtual duet with Sonny on "I Got You Babe".
Cher, never to be one to rest on her laurels, released an album of ABBA covers in 2018, "Dancing Queen". She also appeared in the movie "Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again". Wearing a blonde wig, Cher delighted the crowd with 3 ABBA songs. "Waterloo", "SOS" and "Fernando". Yeah I dare you not to sing along.
Cher has one of the most unique voices in the business. A beautiful, deep, throaty, sultry voice unlike any others and it is still as powerful as ever. I was so happy to hear her cover Marc Cohn's "Walking in Memphis" and some of my favorites "It's In His Kiss" and "Bang Bang".

Of course no Cher concert would be complete without the 1980's black curls and leather jacket. "I Found Someone", "If I Could Turn Back Time" and then "I Believe" to close the show.

Cher asked the crowd "What's your granny doing tonight?" Well, when my Grandma was Cher's age, she sat around watching Wheel of Fortune and mumbling to herself. She was not dancing and singing for 90 minutes.
It was an Epic night. My mother loved Cher, and I grew up loving this amazing, empowering woman. She is a national treasure. I hope future generations will get to enjoy this icon we know as Cher!
