Carlos Santana Mistaken For Migrant Taken Into Custody in Martha’s Vineyard

Guitarist Carlos Santana was mistaken for a migrant and was taken into custody. The Evil Ways musician was rounded up on Martha’s Vineyard and shipped off to a military base in Massachusetts.

Santana was on the island to attend a party at James Taylor’s mansion. Taylor has an end of summer party every year at his compound. Attending the party were: Carly Simon, Spike Lee, David Letterman, Oprah, Larry David, Lady Gaga, Carole King, Jackson Browne & Cheech Marin.

Beer Run

The party was in full swing when they ran out of beer. The crowd was getting restless and rowdy. Oprah was doing bottomless cannonballs into the pool. Apparently, Taylor gave Carlos and Cheech Marin some cash and asked them to run down to the local grocery store to get some more beer. Spike Lee joined them and the trio headed into town.

On the way into town they came across a large group of migrants. Cheech recognized one of the group as his second cousin Francisco from Venezuela. As Cheech was chatting and reminiscing with Francisco, the National Guard swooped down on the group. Spike Lee saw them coming and took off running leaving his friends behind. National guardsmen threw a net over Carlos and Cheech and threw them in the back of a van with the other members of the group. They were then whisked off to a military base somewhere in Massachusetts.

Carlos protested to deaf ears. “I am Carlos Santana dammit. I am a guitar player and famous rock star. You know, Evil Ways, Black Magic Woman, Oye Como Va, Woodstock and all of that. That is my friend Cheech over there. We are American citizens attending a party at James Taylor’s house. We just went out for some Cerveza’s.”

Santana was finally able to get word to his lawyer, publicist and James Taylor. After 6 hours in a cage, Carlos was released. “This was the worst party ever” said Carlos. “Figures they send the Hispanics to get the beer. I hate James Taylor and Carly Simon, Spike Lee is a jerk, I just want to go home.”
