In a bizarre twist, The Senate Judiciary Committee invited Guitarist Alex Lifeson to question Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett.

Lifeson, the guitarist of the rock band, Rush, pretended to be a Senator from Canada and recreated his Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Induction Speech. The original 2013 speech consisted entirely of Lifeson repeating the words “Blah, Blah, Blah” over and over.

It is unclear who invited Lifeson, but Amy Coney Barrett seemed puzzled by the guitarists antics. “At first I didn’t even notice, because I stopped listening to these dummies like 2 days ago” said ACB, “To be honest, I kind of zoned out and just waited to be asked a question about Roe v Wade or the Affordable Care Act for the 500th time. Then I realized he was actually just saying “Blah Blah Blah”. It was funny for the first 5 minutes but by the 7 minute mark I was ready to strangle him.”

Lifeson wrapped it up after 30 minutes and then moon walked out of the building to a stunned Senate. Senator Feinstein commented “Who was that? Was that Lawrence Welk? Was he scatting? I am not sure what is happening right now.”

Blah, Blah, Blah

Senator Cory Booker applauded and stated, “It was very nice that a man with special needs was invited to speak. See without the ACA, this man here would not be able to get along on his own. He would be in an institution somewhere.” When Booker was told who Lifeson is, Booker replied “Oh you mean he’s not a retard!? I mean special needs person!?”

Lifeson’s former bandmate, Geddy Lee was asked for comment and stated “Oh my god, he did it again!? For thirty minutes!? I hope someone punched him in the throat? I know I wanted to punch him in the throat when he blah blah blah’d during the induction speech. I never told anyone, but I kicked him square in the nuts when we got off stage that night.”
